Shelby League (Middle School) Track Begins Tomorrow

On Thursday (weather permitting) MUS host the first weekly Shelby Leage track meet for middle schools. We will have a large number of schools and athletes for this meet. An approximate meet schedule is linked below

We host our first home meet this Tuesday as Germantown and SBA visit. Meet schedule is linked below. We will post our entries Tuesday morning.

Bonner Relay Results

The 2011 season began this weekend at Harding Academy as they hosted their annula Bonner Relays. It was a cool and rainy event but several of our guys performed well. Senior Sam Cox picked up where he finished last year leading our pole vault team to a victory. Sam vaulted 13'0" and Eli Goldstein went 12'6" to lead the way with rookie Frasier Humphreys going 10' in his first competition. The discus crew of Ben Benton (123-04) Ben Still (118-10) and Britt Colcolough(110-00) finished 2nd. Shea Gabrielleschi ran a solid 1600 meters in his leg of the DMR. Our youth in the sprint and jumping events showed but we expect to see constant improvement.

Track Update

It has been great to see all the activity on the track the past few weeks as the boys prepare for the upcoming season. We have a young team this year and they have brought a lot of enthusiasm each day. We have also had some very pleasant weather this early in the year.

When we return from spring break the action will pick up. One schedule change is that we are not going to do the LSU meet this year but instead take all of our guys to the Harding meet that weekend. This seems to fit everyone's schedule a little better.
